SQL preview

Read SQL scripts as statements, diagrams, schemas and data, detect the dialect and convert between dialects.

Open or paste a .sql file and the preview switches to the SQL view. The header summarises the script, for example 12 statements · 4 CREATE · 8 INSERT.

Dialect detection

Quap reads the syntax and shows Detected: PostgreSQL (high) — the confidence is high, medium or low. If it is wrong, choose the right one in Source dialect.

Convert to another dialect

Choose the target

Under Convert to, pick PostgreSQL / PL/pgSQL, T-SQL, MySQL, MariaDB, Oracle, SQLite or LINQ (C#).

Choose the scope

All statements, or Selected to convert only the statement picked in the Statements tab.

Use the result

The converted SQL appears below. Copy it, or Apply to editor to replace the document.

Notes appear under the result when a target has limits — for example, MariaDB uses the MySQL conversion.

SQL ↔ C# LINQ

Choosing LINQ (C#) turns a SELECT into LINQ. Pick Query syntax (from … where … select) or Method syntax (.Where(...).Select(...)). Joins, where, order and limit are converted; GROUP BY, HAVING, window functions and CTEs are partly supported, and the output lists anything left out.

It also works the other way: paste LINQ query syntax and convert it to any SQL dialect.
