Stats
Size, depth and type counts of a document at a glance.
Stats summarises a document's structure. It is useful for checking an export before you send it on, or for spotting oddities such as empty strings or unexpected nulls.
| Group | Values |
|---|---|
| File | Size, characters, lines, format |
| Structure | Total nodes, objects, arrays, max depth, keys, unique keys |
| Types | Strings, numbers, booleans (true / false), nulls |
| Empties | Empty objects, empty arrays, empty strings, empty lines |
| Ranges | Longest string, smallest and largest number |
| NDJSON | Number of line roots |
| XML | Number of elements |
Stats are computed in the background; on big documents you briefly see Computing stats…. The AI assistant can show them too — ask "show the document's structure statistics".
The footer always shows the object count, characters and size of the active document, even when the preview shows another view.
