Editor

Tabs, a command palette, a project tree and a fast editor made for data files.

Open a file or a folder, or just paste. Format, clean and sort from the toolbar, find and replace across all open documents, and get back anything you copied from the clipboard history.

  • Ten formats, detected automatically.
  • Every command a few keystrokes away with ⌘⇧P.
  • Find and replace, with regular expressions, across all open documents.
  • Older encodings like Windows-1252 and ISO-8859-9 work too.

What you can do

Ten formats, detected for you

Open or paste JSON, NDJSON, YAML, XML, CSV, SQL, Markdown, HTML, Base64 or plain text. Excel sheets come in as CSV. Quap picks the right highlighting and preview.

Format, minify and clean

Make a document readable in one click or put it on a single line. JSON with comments, trailing commas or stray characters is repaired first.

Find and replace

Search one document or every open one, with case, whole-word and regular-expression options. A replace-all is undone in one step.

Tabs and project folders

Pin the documents you use most, switch between tabs and a sidebar list, and open a whole folder to browse and search every file in it.

Clipboard history

Everything you copied, in Quap or in another app, is one shortcut away (⌘⇧V). Paste it again or open it as a new document.

Nothing gets lost

Unsaved tabs come back after a crash or restart, and files in older encodings such as Windows-1252 open and save correctly.
