macOS 10.15 or later, on Apple Silicon or Intel. The built-in AI model needs an Apple Silicon Mac with 8 GB of memory or more.
Windows
64-bit Windows 10 or later. The installer adds Microsoft Edge WebView2 if it is missing (it comes with Windows 11).
Install in a minute
macOS
- 1Download the .dmg for your Mac.
- 2Open it and drag Quap into Applications.
- 3Open Quap and accept the license agreement.
Windows
- 1Download the 64-bit installer.
- 2Run Quap_…_x64-setup.exe and follow the steps.
- 3Open Quap from the Start menu and accept the license agreement.

What's new in 2.0.0
- AI assistant: describe a change in plain words and Quap carries it out on your computer, with a cloud provider of your choice or a built-in model that works offline.
- Analysis: group, count and total your records and see them as a table or one of 15 chart types.
- Large files: XML, YAML and CSV files of any size can now be edited too, and large JSON files get folding, sorting, cleaning and conversion, all with undo.
- Quap can be set as the app that opens JSON, YAML, XML, CSV, SQL, Markdown and HTML files.
After installing
Quap is free for files under 4 MiB, with no account and no time limit. Updates install from inside the app.
